FedEx Class Action Lawsuit: $227M in Settlement Reached

This means that FedEx Corp will have to pay $227 million to its drivers in 19 states of the U.S. Why did drivers file a class action lawsuit against FedEx Corp? The reason is that plaintiffs accused FedEx of misclassifying them as independent contractors instead of full-time workers. They also pointed out that they were undercompensated. FedEx class action lawsuit settlement documents show that 12,627 drivers in 19 states are plaintiffs. Thus, these drivers will get between $250 and $116,000 depending on separate settlements in every state.
