Discover Bank, as well as Kohn Law Firm, are facing a class action lawsuit. Actually, the allegations are over violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Sasha Rizzo is the plaintiff who filed the lawsuit against the defendants. Rizzo claims Discovery Bank and Kohn Law Firm violated the federal consumer protection laws. They did it by including the plaintiff’s credit scores in the documents which were published in circuit court. This occurred when the defendants pursued Rizzo as a debtor.
Rizzo mentioned in her complaint that the Kohn Law Firm included the information concerning her credit score in documents related to Discover Bank in a local court.

The lawsuit accuses Discover Bank and the Kohn Law Firm of violating certain privacy provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In addition to that, the defendant law firm filed collection actions against consumers on behalf of Discover Bank. Thus, during the process of filing these collection actions, they used to include consumers’ credit scores in the suits.
The plaintiff states what defendants did is an invasion of privacy. Furthermore, Rizzo adds that none of them had any permissible excuse to use her private information.
Actually, Rizzo seeks to represent a class of any person, who uses or used Discover credit cards and had their credit scores published in a circuit court of Wisconsin since 2015. Additionally, Rizzo is also seeking to represent those people who use or used Discover credit cards and whose credit scores the defendant law firm published since 2016.
Moreover, Rizzo seeks an injunction against the defendants from using and publishing consumers’ credit scores in collection actions.
